Why does steering wheel make hard jerk to the right anytime the brakes are applied on 1997 Malibu also makes a lot of noise from the underside when turning braking etc?

[Edit]

Answer

Commonly on these GM N body cars, the front lower control arm bushings wear and push out. These are the rear bushings with the bolts perpendicular to the ground.

Answer

You can also have a leaking caliber. This would cause the brakes to grap and pull to one side. This is a very dangerous situation. Have this repaired ASAP.

Answer

There was actually a recall on this malibu. I have a 97 and recieved paperwork over a year to get this fixed for free at a dealership. The problem they were having sounds like what you are experiencing.
