Balboa discovered tht Pacific
Vasco Nunez de Balboa and his expedition discovered the Pacific Ocean (at that time called the South Sea) on September 25, 1513.
Very well true, but nextto this two treaties were closed by the pope to divide all non European land and seas between both Portugal and Spain.
The pacific was divided with the treaty of Zaragoza in 1529
