It should be noted that cell phone communication it does NOT carry the same protections that landline phone protection does, and "wire taps" or intercepts may be performed legally with a warrant (although the prosecuting attorney or issuing agency may deem a warrant to be a valuable safeguard in order to protect their case.

Also, if a cell phone is within aproximately four miles of three cells, it's exact location can be tracked. Currently, it takes a warrant to track someone by their cell phone, but the law is still being made.

Also, foolish criminals are fond of taking pictures of their crimes with their cell phones.
