Diesels dont have firing orders.....glow plugs in some diesel vehicles remain ignited.....some ignite and shut down, leaving the fuel to ignite off of engine temp.

Indeed the glow plugs do not have a 'firing order' in the same manner that spark plugs do in a gasoline engine, the injection pump timing order determines the firing order of the engine. In the case of the 6.2 (and 6.5L) Gm Diesels this would be 18726543
