Can be several things. First thng I would check is the condition of the plugs and wires. Replace if needed. Make sure the air filter is not restricted also. Check the PVC valve also. Those are the most common reasons. These also wont usually show codes if they are bad. There are other things to check if it is still doing it after checking these out. Hope this helps.
