What is a round of applause?

[Edit]
A whole bunch of people at the end of a show standing up and clapping either the cast of the show or the movie or the guy playing the instrument if its outside; as in a busker.

Usually the crowd will clap for several seconds up to several minutes if they were really impressed and then stop. This is one "round" of applause. If the person says or does something else the crowd appreciates they will begin to clap again and stop after a bit. This is another "round" of applause.
