Answer
When a animal or a pet is in heat that means that your pet or animal is able and is ready to reproduce at that time. If you spay or neuter a cat or dog pet this won't happen. Birds breeding seasons vary throughout the year depending on the bird's species.
It's is the seasonal cycle for reproduction. Heat cycles differ with different species. Getting the vet to spay or neuter your animal will stop this problem. If you don't and it's a female dog it is 21 days of keeping your dog inside with no outside contact from male dogs or you will get puppies. If it's a cat, she won't go out of cycle until she drops the egg and she won't drop the egg until she's bred and again then you're going to have kitty's. So please get them spayed ASAP after 5 months of age for cats and 7 months for dogs. Neutered male dogs don't try to get out and roam the neighborhood as bad as intact males.
