Every child is different, and one small child may love the Twilight Zone Tower of Terror while being petrified of Peter Pan’s Wild Ride. Go figure. Here’s a list based on ‘averages.’
At the Magic Kingdom, a good ride to go on is the Jungle Cruise. It is not very frightening, but does have one or two intense moments. Kids who are afraid on the Jungle Cruise aren’t ready for the more intense rides.
Scary rides would include Pirates of the Caribbean, Splash Mountain, Big Thunder Mountain, the Haunted Mansion (mostly only the name is scary), Snow White’s adventure, the Barnstormer at Goofy’s Wise Acres Farm , Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin, Space Mountain (a big rollercoaster in the dark), and the Timekeeper.
Astro Orbiter has an intimidating waiting area, but the ride itself is tame.
The Alien Encounter in Tomorrow Land scares the bejesus out of adults and children alike.
