What are the kinds of modifiers of human acts? |
[Edit] |
Answer
God has created us with an internal moral compass so that we have the knowledge of right and wrong. Following Him and being in a close relationship with Him makes self control more straight forward; however because so many have turned from God, now law after law has been put in place along with police and military to enforce them, just to keep us safe from each other. So obedience to God through love is the first modifier, then once we have turned from God, laws and threat of incarceration become the second modifiers.
Subsets of this might be emotions that come out of the importance that one might place on peer acceptance, as well as guilt, fear, excitement, joy, love, etc.
Hmmmm.... of course then there is always physical laws; like if I really want to travel at the speed of light it doesn't matter how bad I want to do that, it just won't happen. Hence, my act has been duly modified.
Or, if I just jumped out of an airplane and my parachute didn't open, my act of floating gently to the ground has just been seriously modified.
Here's a literal one: I just broke my leg, and so I can't go on stage; therefore my 'act' has been modified!
