The major attraction here is Dinosaur, one of two Animal Kingdom thrill rides. The Dinosaur takes fast pass, so go early and grab one if the line is long. Some people think Dinosaur is the best ride at Walt Disney World, and not just eight year old dinosaur fans, either! Your mission is to rescue a living dinosaur before they become extinct. It may be too intense for very young children. The ride also includes an intense roller-coaster motion, so it’s not for the faint of heart.

Tricera Top Spin is a midway ride great for younger children. Theater in the wild has live performances. Some are less than spectacular, but the price is right, and they’re in the shade. Usually wait time is not too bad.

The Boneyard is a very elaborate playground enjoyed by the elementary school set. It’s a great way for them to blow off steam during the day.
