Answer
A 'loop' is merely a segment of music that is looped or made to re-play a number of times (or indefinitely - it depends on what the editor wants).
A bit of history - the "Loop" actually at one point referred to an actual piece of recording tape that had the two ends spliced together - a literal loop. One of the earliest, if not the earliest, example, is the cash register sounds in Pink Floyd's "Money". Roger Waters recorded all of the individual sounds at his home, cut the 7 bits of tape to the same length, spliced them all together and then taped the ends together. They used a microphone stand sitting off to the side of the tape machine to keep the tape stretched out properly so it would play back. As it is the capstan motor, not the reels, that drive the tape across the heads, this primitive setup worked just fine.
In electronic music, a loop is a sample which is repeated. Loops may be repeated through the use of tape loops, delay effects, cutting between two record players, sampling, a sampler or with the aid of Computer Based Looping Software. get download songs here http://www.westsounds.com
