I am a Christian, being one of Jehovah's Witnesses since 1988. I am 42 years old, father of a 19 year old daughter, and husband of a wonderful Christian wife, who is 35 years old. This is my second marriage. My family and I regularly engage in volunteer door-to-door ministry, which is part of a world-wide preaching work, being done by over 7 million Jehovah's Witness ministers in some 236 countries in over 400 languages. Our preaching is about God's Kingdom ruled by Jesus Christ, and it is done in obedience to Jesus command to his followers to preach the good news about the kingdom.- Matthew 24:14 ;28:19,20) As one of Jehovah's Witnesses, I am part of a united brotherhood. We do not have sects and divisions within our religion. The primary source of my information, is first, the Bible, and second, the channel that Jesus called the "Faithful and Discreet Slave."-(Matthew 24:45)

My family has been associated with Jehovh's Witnesses since before the great depression, with my great-grand parents having studied and becoming associated with the organization. My wife's family has been associated with Jehovah's Witnesses since her grandmother studied and became a Witness some 50 or so years ago.

The reason that the buildings we meet in are called "Kingdom Halls, is because that is the main theme of what is discussed there, God's Kingdom, by Jesus Christ. We also have larger "Assembly Halls," which are like large Kingdom Halls that are scattered all over, and are each shared by hundreds of congregations of Jehovah's Witnesses to hold our annual assemblies in which 20 or more congregations will meet together at one time for a weekend of special instruction.

My wife and I are also busy working on volunteer building projects, organized by the Watchtower Society, through an arrangement we call the regional building committee. On these building projects, my wife and I are experienced in electrical wiring, HVAC, insulation, roofing, steel work, concrete finishing, landscaping, and wall finishes.

Secularly, I am an automotive technician, having done this for about 20 years. I hold a number of certifications including Ford Engine Master, Ford Chasis Master, and I am 1 class credit away from Ford Driveline Master, which will then reclassify me as a "Senior Master." I am a Ford certified Hybrid technician, SVT technician, and certified in electrical/electronic systems. I am also Mazda engine control certified, Chrysler transmission certified, as well as an ASE Master techician, and ASE L1 certified.

As a Ford technician, I am in a unique position to answer your Ford questions. I often access the online service manuals directly from Ford, so when I answer your Ford, Lincoln, Mercury questions, I am able to tell you, in my own words, of course, what Ford Motor Company themselves are saying.

I would very much appreciate, along with other answerers here, I'm sure, that when posting your automotive questions, if you PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE include year, make, model, and engine information. It is absolutely impossible to answer a question without knowing what we are working on. Thank you.

Prior to being an automotive technician, I was a restaurant manager for 5 years.

Automotive repair runs deep in my family. I am second generation in the field and my younger brother is a paid author for several automotive industry magazines, he being regarded highly as an expert in automotive repair and automotive shop management. So I have a rather deep well of information to draw from.

Construction also runs deep in my family, and my wife's family, with several contractors and builders on both sides of the family.

My wife and I have traveled all over the world, having visited England, Spain, Morocco, Gibraltar, Belgium, Mexico, Puerto Rico, and others. We have traveled the US from Montana to Key West. I am origionally from West Virginia, and now live in South Carolina, where I met my wife, who is a South Carolina native.

The reason I use the handle "WVafan," is that I also enjoy sports, specifically West Virginia University football. Many people have a misconseption about Jehovah's Witnesses that we don't have any fun. Not true. We enjoy most of the same kinds of recreation that anybody else does, including sports. It's just that, we have to keep things in balance, and not let mundane persuits overshadow our service to God.

I have recently been added to FAQ Farm as a supervisor. I appreciate this, and consider it a priveledge. I think this is a great forum, and the exchange of knowledge is one of the most worthwhile things available on the net.
