Hello, welcome to my Biography page.
I am currently in my 3rd year of residency after graduating from medical school in 2006. When I am finished with residency, I will be residency trained in Emergency medicine.
I went to medical school in Texas, and am completing my residency training in Pennsylvania.
I trained and worked as a Registered Nurse prior to going to medical school, so I can draw experience from both fields (nursing and medicine) to help my patients. In addition, I am an Osteopathic physician (DO), which means I have extensive training in the musculoskeletal system and its relationship to illness and disease. As a DO, I also have training in manipulative treatments to help treat my patients.
If you are curious about DOs, please visit http://www.osteopathic.org
I am excited to contribute some of my knowledge to this site - hopefully I will be able to help people understand their medical conditions and treatments.
Remember, however, that all health or medical advice garnered from a website should be discussed with your own personal physician for completeness and to determine whether the information pertains to your personal problem.
I cannot stress how important communication is between you and your physician.
My interests include, biking, music, Opie and Anthony, amateur photography, reading (fantasy, fiction, horror, sci-fi, comic strips, mystery), video games, surfing the net, and - most of all - spending time with my wife.
