I have always been interested in History and especially Military History. There have been times that my favorite subject was Napoleonic Wars and then American Civil War. For the last 6 years, I have been working on a WW2 website that is about the Italian Campaign that focuses on the last year of the war---commonly referred to as the Forgotten Front.

I have an extensive library of books on the Italian Campaign, with some books that relate to the contributions of countries other than US. I also have a good reference library on the aircraft and pilots of World War 1. My library includes some books on the Civil War and specifically the battles outside of Virginia.

One of my hobbies is collecting militaria. Of course, most of my collection relates to the Italian Campaign. It includes some uniform items of the Italians. Over the years I've accumulated about 100 British regimental cap badges. I also have a few nice examples of "silk" maps used in WW2. So, you may direct any question about military uniforms to me and I'll give it my best shot.

I'm married and have 2 daughters, one still in college and one has 3 daughters. All girls in my family. So, history projects like this and my website are some of my favorite hobbies.

My career is in the field of Aviation Engineering. I have worked in this industry for 34 years that includes both helicopters and airliners. My jobs have included technical writing and testing & breaking aircraft parts. My current specialty is Landing Gears or as I like to say it---I'm into heavy metal, man.
