Is it OK to have a racing bike and not race it?

[Edit]

Answer

Just as long as a sport/race bike has all the proper items such as headlights/taillights/turn signals/mirrors and is registered with the dmv riding it for enjoyment instead of racing can be fun as well.

There are other things such as showing off, improving your self image fulfilling your desires etc. Plus when you have the money there is nothing wrong in picking your favourite bike out of the showroom and having fun in the city. And these days you see majority of people use superbikes for street use.

additional comment:

To be honest, it is OK to own a M-1 Abraham tank as long as you pay for it... Just don't use it for its intended purpose... and as long as you don't drive it on the street..
