How to Change tailights on 2005 Malibu.
On a 2005 Chevrolet Mailbu 2.2L 4 cylinder.
REMOVE TRUNK LINER: Open your trunk. On whichever side you are changing, locate and remove the two plastic nuts by hand. Pull back the trunk liner and there will be two more plastic nuts securing the tail light assembly in the trunk area. Remove those two plastic nuts, by hand as well.
REMOVE TAIL LIGHT: Now, look at the tail light (outside of the trunk) and you will see a black plastic piece, that attached and secures the tail light to the car body. Find the black philips head screw and remove.
REMOVE BULB: Tail light assembly should become loose. Pull the assembly gently away from the car body. You have reach the light bulbs, twist the light assembly to remove the dead bulb. Pull whichever bulb needs to be changed and remove wires and replace wires on to new bulb and push back in bulb and then screw all plastic pieces back on.
REVERSE PROCESS TO FINISH.
