How do you access and change the spark plugs on a 1998 Chevy Malibu?

We did this installation and cried for an hour, laying on top of the motor and trying to get to the last (2)back spark plugs, that were murder to insert and screw. We got better the 2nd time. A person on this site said he uses a rubber hose to hold the plug to screw it in and out (brilliant). If you dont have the time a patience, let the mechanic do it, I will from now on!
