Does green tea have caffeine? In: Nutrition [Edit categories] |
[Edit] |
Green tea is generally brewed with water below the boiling point for 2-4 minutes. Less caffeine comes out of the leaves in the brewing process than from roasted tea.
The content varies based on it's type and preparation. Sources quote anywhere from 3 to 30 mg of caffeine in a cup of green tea. Regular tea contains between 30 and 60 mg. A can of Coke contains 34 mg. Instant coffee contains between 65 and 100 mg. Drip filtered coffee can contain up to 200 mg.
Green Tea does have caffeine however it also has an added benefit of helping to burn off the fat that surrounds your organs internally, hence you will eventually shed some extra inches!!
