This product is not sold in the UK but a quick Internet search uncovered the work of Dr Deas and apparently it causes anemia.
Eating anything that is not considered "Food" is caused by an iron deficiency. Get a blood test.
Additional Informaton: Unexplained cravings for peculiar substances such as, cornstarch, laundry starch, chalk, or even chewing ice, can be signals indicating the deficiency mentioned above and also a zinc deficiency. You need to see your Dr. and also ask about testing for anemia, which is sometimes indicated by these urges. Also a link has been found between these symptoms and colon cancer, so don't just let your Dr. treat you for what they find, but ask them to investigate the root causes of your anemia and cravings. This doesn't mean that everyone with this type of urge has cancer, but you should make an appt. to see your Dr. and be open and honest with them concerning your cravings, to resolve the medical issue and get treatment.
